2026-27 ANWG Challenge Grant application process is now open.
The ANWG Challenge Grant is designed to promote weaving and all related fiber arts and to preserve the traditions of these arts. To accomplish the Grant Goal, ANWG will award grants for activities such as lectures, seminars, workshops, research projects, retreats, etc. A total of six grants of $600 each will be awarded to guilds in good standing (current year dues) and are intended to provide member education and participation in activities in the fiber arts.
Below is the APPLICATION for a CHALLENGE GRANT. This is a WORD document and fillable, or it may be filled out by hand, scanned and returned via email. Deadlines for response and application submission are on the application. Please consider this opportunity for your members and respond with questions or concerns if you have them.
Note: In the past, conference committees have requested that instructors withhold from offering workshops in the six months prior to a conference date. This request will not be implemented for the 2027 conference, therefore guilds will have the ability to choose and use more available workshop instructors as part of their grant if they wish. Instructor-led workshops are not, however, a requirement in a grant application. Past grants have also been awarded for general outreach and public education.
