36” 8-shaft, 10-treadle fir countermarch loom with second warp beam, storage bench, 15- and 12-dent reeds, ample heddles, and two complete tie-ups–both Texsolv and original wire and cord. This Poulsbo, Washington made loom was designed by Margaret Bergman in the 1930s to fold when warped to save floor space between weaving sessions. Mine belonged to Mrs Bergman’s student Grace Spaulding Gaudy and is a work of art. I will pass on her project notebooks with swatches to loom’s new owner–bad back or I would not be letting it go! $1800. Also for sale: mid-1800’s primitive German schrank $200. Perfect weaving cupboard, holds everything. Ridgefield, WA. Pictures available. Email if interested.
