Member Guilds can find information and resources, both current and historical, and interested guilds can find information about joining us.
ANWG now has three types of membership: 1) weaving guilds; 2) affiliate fiber arts associations; and 3) individual affiliates. The Bylaws adopted in July 2012 explain the three categories including the privileges and responsibilities of each category. The following is a summary of each:
1) Weaving Guilds. ANWG is primarily an association of weaving guilds within our region. Member guilds are entitled to vote on all matters affecting the organization and can serve on the board and committees. Dues are based on the number of members in the particular guild.
2) Affiliate Fiber Arts Associations. Associations with their primary interest in the fiber arts may join as affiliates. While representatives of these associations may serve on the board and committees, they do not have the same voting privileges as member guilds. The dues for membership at $35/yr.
3) Affiliate Individuals. Individuals with an interest in weaving and the fiber arts may join as individuals whether or not they also belong to a weaving guild. While individuals may serve on the board and committees, they do not have the same voting privileges as member guilds. Dues are $25/yr.
