Clatsop Spinners and Weavers Guild

The Clatsop Weavers and Spinners Guild has the distinction of spanning two states – Oregon and Washington.  Our logo is a rendering of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, the bridge bringing us together to provide an environment for weavers and spinners to perfect their skills, learn new ones, exchange ideas and teach a new generation.  We have an extensive library, equipment to loan, and we host at least one workshop per year.  A grant is given each year so that a member may attend a workshop.  The only requirement is that they share their new-found knowledge with the Guild!

We are lucky to have a home at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco, WA where we have our monthly meetings.  Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 11:00  and include a short business meeting, bag lunch, show and share, and a program.  The spinners in the guild meet the 1st Tuesday at different homes, Oregon one month, Washington the next.

We welcome every opportunity to demonstrate our crafts and encourage new members.  We are regulars at a historic B&B, a local coffee shop, a yarn store, the Finn Fest, Cranberrian Fair, Art Walks and other festivals.
